About
A spring festival around Seokchon Lake in Jamsil, run by Songpa-gu. The lake has a walking path of about 2.5 km, and the cherry trees line it. Korean press coverage of the 2026 festival calls it the only place in Seoul to see cherry blossoms with a lake as the backdrop.
The program is mostly free shows and exhibits. In 2026 there were opening and closing concerts and daily busking at the East Lake waterside stage. There were also exhibitions at The Gallery Hoosu, a media art show at The Sphere, a fashion show at Seoul Norimadang, a flea market and food trucks.
The festival got longer in 2026. It ran 5 days in 2025 and 9 days in 2026. The district said it wanted visitors to see the blossoms without being rushed by crowds. For 2026 the district planned lights along the whole path for night viewing and safety staff until Apr 12, the day after the festival.
Good to know
- The dates move with the blossoms: 2025 was Apr 2–6 and 2026 was Apr 3–11. In 2025 the district said it would keep the planned dates even if the bloom came at a different time.
- Jamsil Station (Lines 2 and 8) Exit 2 is about 282 m from the park. The park has no entrance fee.
- In 2025 the district put volunteers on the path to keep walkers moving in one direction. Follow the signs and staff.
